Why you want study in UK?
Studying abroad in Dubai, UAE, offers a unique educational and cultural experience, allowing students to gain valuable insights into global perspectives. Dubai hosts branch campuses of prestigious international universities, providing recognized degrees with no additional language testing for English. Students benefit from opportunities to work locally, gaining UAE-specific experience that can support career growth. The UAE focuses on fields like science, technology, and business, with options for both short-term courses and extended programs. However, many universities restrict work for international students, making scholarships helpful for optimizing the educational experience.

The UAE’s education system has developed significantly, attracting global students through reputable programs and international institutions. The system is categorized into:

  1. Public Schools: Follows the Arabic curriculum, primarily attended by UAE nationals.
  2. Private Schools: Offers a diverse range of 15 curricula, with the majority of students enrolled in U.K., U.S., and Indian programs. Other options include the International Baccalaureate (IB), French, Canadian, German, and Japanese curricula.
  3. Tertiary Institutions: Many top global universities have branches in the UAE, making it a regional hub for higher education.

Academic Year Structure
The academic year generally comprises multiple intakes:

  • Spring (January), Summer (June–September), and Autumn (September–January).
  • Bachelor’s degrees usually require four years, while master’s programs typically last between 1.5 to two years.

Financial Support
Financial aid and scholarships are available, making tuition more affordable and supporting students throughout their education.

Dubai, known as an entertainment hub, has also become a learning destination, allowing international students to work part-time while studying. This dual benefit of affordable education and income generation makes Dubai an attractive choice for students.

On-Campus Job Opportunities
Many universities in Dubai, such as the American University of Sharjah (AUS), encourage on-campus employment. Students may work in various roles like library assistance, administrative offices, and campus shops. The Student Employment Office (SEO) oversees recruitment and ensures compliance with work regulations.

Working Hours and Wages

  • During the academic session: Students can work up to 15 hours per week (60 hours per month).
  • During summer or study breaks: Working hours can extend to 40 hours per week (160 hours per month).
  • Hourly wages range between AED 15 and AED 30.

Legal Considerations
Students are allowed only one job at a time; working multiple jobs can lead to forfeiting additional earnings and may impact visa status. Ensuring compliance with UAE employment laws is crucial to avoid penalties or visa issues.

The UAE, also known as the Emirates, is a country located on the southeastern Arabian Peninsula in Western Asia. It shares borders with Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and is close to Iran. The UAE consists of seven emirates: Abu Dhabi (the capital), Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras al-Khaimah, Umm al-Quwain, and Fujairah. Each emirate is governed by its ruler, and together they uphold a blend of traditional customs and modern development. The UAE has a long history dating back to 125,000 BCE and has been influenced by various cultures, including British presence before independence in 1971.

Religion
Islam is the official religion of the UAE, with the majority of Muslims (97%) being Sunni, and a smaller Shia community (3%). Other religions are permitted, with immigrants mainly practicing Christianity (12.6%), Hinduism (6.6%), and Buddhism (2%). However, media broadcasting of non-Muslim religions is restricted, and there are more than 30 churches and one Hindu temple in Bur Dubai.

Languages
Arabic is the national language, with Emiratis primarily speaking the Gulf Arabic dialect, common in nearby Gulf countries. English, influenced by historical ties to the UK, serves as the country’s main lingua franca.

Climate
The UAE experiences a desert climate with hot summers and mild winters, with average annual rainfall of less than 100 mm, mostly during winter. While Abu Dhabi is the capital, Dubai is globally known for its modern architecture and vibrant tourism industry.
